    You are passionate about sales and able to provide leadership to achieve and drive the European strategy, growth, and profit objectives for one of our brands, Baker Ruskinn, a division of The Baker Company, Inc. In this role, you will work closely with commercial colleagues from each of our portfolio companies in the UK/EMEA  in order to establish and execute specific goals for Baker Ruskinn in the Region.

    For nearly 70 years, The Baker Company (“Baker”) has been a pioneer in the design and development of high-quality biocontainment and contamination control equipment, facilitating breakthroughs in science and clinical care since 1951.  In 2011, Baker acquired South Wales-based Ruskinn Technology Ltd. (dba, “Baker Ruskinn”), a leading manufacturer of modified atmosphere workstations and precision cell culture solutions for applications in microbiology and cell biology. In 2018, the company acquired Clean Air Techniek (dba “CleanAir by Baker”) a leading manufacturer of high quality laminar flow and biocontainment solutions located in The Netherlands.

    CRM and Sales Management activities for each of our brands have been established centrally under The Baker Company BV in The Netherlands, for the EMEA.  Through each of its brands, Baker supplies an expansive range of high performing laboratory equipment that has been uniquely designed, tested, and certified in order to serve a wide range of customers, markets, and industry specific requirements across the globe.  Focusing on innovation and collaboration with customers we aim to further develop technology in biocontainment and contamination control (our “SafeGARD” products from Baker and CleanAir by Baker), while evolving tools for studying cells under precisely controlled and physiologically relevant conditions (our “GROW” products from Baker and Baker Ruskinn).


    The Regional Sales Manager (EMEA) has the responsibility of meeting and developing annual sales goals for Baker Ruskinn solutions distributed into the EMEA. In this role you will have the responsibility for:

    • Supporting the commercial sales and marketing plans, including revenue initiatives for the Baker Ruskinn brand and all GROW products;
    • Setting and achieving Sales Goals for the territory;
    • Developing, maintaining and managing Partner relationships within the Region;
    • Attending – and often presenting at – industry trade events / exhibits, customer workshops/seminars;
    • Providing market sensing mechanisms, identifying new opportunities and highlighting gaps in current portfolio;
    • Interfacing with global sales and marketing teams to advise and contribute to internal projects and external promotional campaigns;
    • Contributing to the implementation of a centralized CRM for all Baker brands in Europe;
    • Developing presentations, sales tools, and data sets to support commercial efforts;
    • Answering internal and external customer inquiries through timely and accurate communication, consulting as appropriate with the company’s support and technical staff;
    • Promoting teamwork and cooperation, removing barriers to productivity, and creating an enthusiastic, positive work environment;
    • Operating within an annual expense budget;
    • Completing other work, as assigned.

    Your profile

    • BS degree in life sciences preferred and/or 5+ years of sales / product manager experience within the life sciences (Cell Culture)
    • Strong interpersonal and phone skills, with prior use of digital sales tools / tactics;
    • Be organized with strong verbal & written communication as well as analytical skills;
    • Must be self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude;
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications;
    • Quick learner, hard worker and the ability to work independently;
    • Goal oriented with excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities;
    • Good level of English, written and spoken;
    • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record is required throughout your employment;
    • Travelling for up to 50% of the time, and has ability to travel when necessary;
    • Ability to work out of the EMEA headquarters (Utrecht, The Netherlands) is preferred (relocation expenses are available). Remote work will be considered for the right candidate, with bi-monthly visits to Utrecht required.
